One Pan Brats with Cabbage and Sauerkraut
Brats and Cabbage is one of our favorite weeknight meals because its so fast, minimal ingredients, but still delicious. We also love to listen to Polka music as we cook and eat! This is a perfect low carb/keto weeknight meal!
One Pan Bratwurst and Cabbage
All of the flavor, but not all of the work. Super easy weeknight meal!
Equipment
- Large Cast Iron
Ingredients
- 6 Bratwursts
- 1 16 oz Bag Cole Slaw Mix
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 can Sauerkraut
- Stone Ground Mustard topping
- 3 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions
- Heat up a large cast iron skillet. Add olive oil.
- Add bratwurst to hot oil. Let crisp on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Put a lid on the pan and let cook for another 8-10 minutes (until an internal temperature of at least 160°F. Remove the sausage from the pan.
- Add the bag of cabbage and the apple cider vinegar to the cast iron or pan. Cook until the cabbage is wilted, about 5 minutes. Add in the can of sauerkraut to warm it up.
- Serve in a bowl with the cabbage, sauerkraut and brats! Top with stone ground mustard!
