Easy Turkey Taco Bowl
My sister created this recipe, and ever since it’s on heavy rotation for my entire family because its so easy, delicious and a versatile recipe to please the whole family. Put over nachos, serve with Mexican Cauliflower rice/regular rice or stuff in your favorite tortillas! Top with sour cream, cheese, avocados, guacamole!
Easy Low Carb Turkey Taco Bowl
Easy and delicious family favorite! Can be served in a bowl over cauliflower rice, regular rice, over tortilla chips, or inside a tortilla! Can add bell peppers, Jalapeño peppers, guacamole, sour cream, and/or cheese! We also use this recipe for protein in our Mexican breakfast scrambles!
Equipment
- Nonstick pan or electric skillet
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground turkey
- 1 6 oz Can Tomato paste
- 2 6 oz Cans of water
- 3 tbsp Taco seasoning
Instructions
- Cook ground turkey over medium heat in a nonstick pan or in electric skillet. Break into clumps, cook until turkey is no longer pink, about 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in taco seasoning. Mix.
- Stir in tomato paste can.
- Fill tomato paste can.
- Fill tomato paste can with water twice and stir well (12 oz of water)
- Bring to a slight bubble. Then reduce heat, cover, stirring occasionally, and allow for the liquid to absorb (about 15 minutes).
- Optional: With 5 minutes remaining, add can of drained black beans, cooked sweet peppers, or a can of drained corn. Combine and cook for about 5 minutes to warm.
