Equipment

  • Small sauce pan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 3 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp Maple Extract I ordered from Amazon – Olive Nation brand
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sweetener I used Swerve
  • 1 stick Salted butter
  • 10 drops liquid sweetener Optional

Instructions

  • Melt butter in small saucepan over medium-low heat. (don't allow it to boil).
  • Once melted, whisk in water and powdered sweetener. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add in extracts and liquid sweetener.
  • Let simmer for about 5 minutes, mixing occasionally.
  • Serve warm! This syrup will thicken as it cools. Enjoy!

Notes

Note: Can store in a fridge if not using immediately (or if you have any leftovers). It will crystallize, so microwave and mixing again will be necessary before using it! It works best to use an immersion blender or to throw it in a blender after microwaving it.
