I am on a bit of a free printable kick, but there’s reason for that! I know we are all tired (emotionally at least) and struggling to pass the time. Or maybe you are a new work-from home parent and need something to keep the kids entertained and learning! I am hoping to share quick and easy activities that take little prep! After this, I will add a couple more hands on things, as I know Remington will be excited for those too!
This activity was something I came up with after I saw this patterned egg match from Life Over C’s. I wanted to switch it up a bit, and use this idea to practice the alphabet with Remi, especially since we are currently homeschooling! Any time fun and learning can be combined, its a win win for me! See below how easy this egg hunt is to put together!
- ABC Egg Hunt Printable (Click here!)
- Bin with filler (I used an old Easter Basket with grass)
First print the ABC Egg Hunt. It’s two pages. The first has dotted lines, which you will cut into squares. The second just has the eggs, and you will use that as a board to match up. (I cut the pieces and then laminated them and laminated the board for longer play, but its not necessary!)
Next, bury your alphabet eggs in the sensory bin. Have your little hunt for the eggs and match them up! Remington turned it into a game, and wanted me to play with him, so we took turns. He really enjoyed it, and was so proud when he found and matched each letter egg.
We have been having a great time starting to work on Easter fun and it has really brightened our days. I hope it does the same for you. Let me know how it went below!
